Lauren stated, “my natural human instinct was to help others with their health and well-being while learning and applying the practice and art of medicine. My curiosity for science and how the mind and body work, was and still is, my driving force.”

Before becoming a physician assistant, Lauren worked and volunteered in various settings including mentoring high-risk children and adolescents and serving as a compassionate caregiver for patients with dementia and autism spectrum disorder. She also worked as a nanny for developing children and as a medical scribe, where she witnessed how chronic medical conditions deeply impact mental health.

Lauren grew up in Red Wing, Minnesota, so the Hudson, Wisconsin community felt like home to her. She said, “not only is the landscape similar, with the beautiful and unique downtown located along the river, but the people here are genuine, warm, and welcoming. I can’t think of a better place to practice medicine.”
