Andrew Smith, PA-C, provides care in Hudson Physicians Urgent Care. With 10 years of experience, he values the fast-paced and unpredictable nature of Urgent Care, where each visit requires focus, adaptability, and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.

Andrew’s interest in medicine comes from a deep curiosity about how the human body works, along with the opportunity to serve others in a meaningful way. He was drawn to Urgent Care because of the variety in patient presentations, the ability to perform procedures, and the opportunity to focus on a specific concern and resolve it efficiently.

He chose to work in the Hudson community because it is the place he calls home. Joining Hudson Physicians felt like the right fit after hearing strong recommendations and connecting with the organization’s philosophy and approach to care.

One experience early in his career helped shape his clinical mindset.

A patient came in thinking he had an insect bite, but further evaluation revealed he was having a heart attack.

That moment reinforced the importance of asking deeper questions, keeping a broad perspective, and always considering what else could be going on.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys music, reading, writing, hiking, and running. He is also a drummer and has played in multiple rock bands over the years. Staying active is an important part of his life, especially with his young family. He enjoys biking, playing sports with his kids, and training regularly to stay physically and mentally prepared.
