Bobbie Ledbury WHNP

"I believe it is important to treat a person as a whole, including finding solutions that work for their beliefs, needs and situation."

Bobbie Ledbury is a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) who has an integrative approach to all aspects of health and wellbeing. She also has additional subspecialties such as Urogynecology in which she performs Urodynamics testing, and is a certified menopause specialist.

A women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) is an educated and experienced nurse practitioner who focuses on offering primary care services to women of all ages. Primary care includes health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

Bobbie dedicates her career to caring for her patients in an enthusiastic and empathetic manner. She advocates for proactive, preventative healthcare instead of waiting until something goes wrong. "I see many patients who put their family's needs before their own, which is heroic but not always helpful. I advise women to put themselves first, which will benefit everyone in the long run." She suggests ongoing learning through community education classes or scheduling weekly workouts with friends.

She puts into practice what she tells her patients. She recommends getting up and moving for five minutes every hour to boost your mood as well as your metabolism. Bobbie puts herself first by reading and doing yoga daily.

Her advice on being healthy:

  • Put yourself first
  • Do yoga at dawn, midday, or dusk
  • Schedule weekly classes or workouts
  • Get up and move around each hour
