"I was a curious and active child drawn to detective mysteries. Practicing Internal Medicine allows me to be a real-life medical detective by using my clinical experience to help people enjoy their lives."
As a child, I looked up to my grandfather who was a dermatologist and diagnostician who had a lifelong love for learning medicine. Long after he retired, he continued to serve his community from his “home” office. His patients from all walks of life just loved him and his compassionate care. He was undoubtedly my first inspiration to practice diagnostic medicine.
I am hoping to bring this same caring, empowering approach to diagnostics, treatment, and management to Hudson Physicians. I fell in love with Hudson and the St. Croix Valley years ago. I always felt welcomed by the locals and struck by the natural beauty and tranquility, of the area.
To this end, I have specialized in adult and adolescent medical management. Interestingly my Internal Medicine residency was unique: we saw patients from 13+ years old onwards. I enjoy managing high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma/lung disease, gastrointestinal conditions, and endocrine/metabolic conditions which include thyroid/parathyroid disease and blood clotting disorders. My additional niches of care include Botox for migraine/headaches, TMJ, hyperhidrosis, along with being a certified Aviation Medical Examiner (AME). My experiences led me to an opportunity to work with a migraine/headache specialist since medical school and have been passionate about helping patients with migraines ever since.
Before joining Hudson Physicians, I was a consultant with the Mayo Clinic for many years and enjoyed partnering with other providers to assist their work by offering a second opinion. I utilize my knowledge base of pathophysiology to clarify diagnoses and then curate the treatment plan to customer fit patient physiology. All while balancing foundational diagnostic tests, lifestyle management, supplements, and medications.
My philosophy is that given a clear diagnosis and treatment plan, most patients can enjoy their lives to the fullest. There is no bigger accomplishment than my patients thriving and even cutting back on medications as they master foundational health.
In my free time I enjoy jet setting around the world as I have visited over 50 countries and enjoy hiking and exploring the great outdoors. A few other hobbies include, ballroom dancing, learning languages and culinary exploration. As an international foodie, some of my favorite foods include Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, and Lebanese cuisine.
While I love all things Internal Medicine and am board certified and recertified, it unfortunately does not crossover with chronic pain, complex psychiatry, or palliative care as I do not primarily manage these conditions.
