Peter Meyers MD
"The ability to connect with and support people through different phases of their lives is an honor and a privilege."
“Joining Hudson Physicians in 2022 has been a wonderful fit for me and my family,” said Peter Meyers, MD. “I'd heard many wonderful things about the Hudson community. The patients have been so wonderful and welcoming!”
Dr. Meyers is a family medicine physician who’s dedicated to whole person care, public health, research, teaching, and advocacy. He completed a master’s degree in public health while in medical school and is passionate about preventive health care. In addition to his clinic and public health practice, he’s worked with the University of Minnesota as an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine, published original research with the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians, and worked as a coach and community organizer for primary care professionals around the country. “I wouldn’t be doing anything else. I really love this job,” he said.
In recent years, Dr. Meyers has shifted his focus to include more integrative and holistic approaches to health and healing such as nutrition education (“food as medicine”), herbal remedies, and mind-body therapies along with his traditional family medicine practice. “I believe this is the future of primary care. Integrative medicine acknowledges that our traditional medical training has many wonderful treatments to offer but may not have all of the answers for each patient.”
Outside of clinic he enjoys time with his wife and two children, board games, hiking, canoeing, skiing, and golf.
