Rebecca Harrison MD
"There is a need for mental health services in smaller communities. I wanted to work collaboratively with primary care providers to make mental health care available to as many people as possible."
Dr. Rebecca Harrison spent her childhood and growing years in Hudson. Now, she’s a psychiatry specialist with many years of experience under her belt and the zeal to help people in the community enjoy life to its fullest.
Dr. Harrison has her roots in the state of Wisconsin, making her passionate about providing mental health services in the Hudson community. She finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and studied medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She also acquired her residency in the latter and became a board certified physician in 2010.
What sparked Dr. Rebecca Harrison’s interest in medicine is her experience working as a volunteer EMT in her younger years. She later on discovered an affinity for psychiatry in medical school and found it “the most interesting and most rewarding” area of medicine.
Dr. Harrison is a Milwaukee Brewers enthusiast who also finds joy and comfort in the arts. She likes to spend her free time tending to her creative interests such as drawing and playing the guitar. She also enjoys physical activities like running and is a firm believer that “staying physically active will improve both physical and mental health.”
Apart from the benefit of being able to stay close to her family, Dr. Harrison is motivated by the difference she can make in a community by making mental health services available in Hudson.
