Jacqueline D’Souza MD

"I was a curious child drawn to detective mysteries. Practicing internal medicine allows me to be a real-life medical detective using science to help people."

From a young age, Dr. Jacqueline D'Souza looked up to her grandfather who also was a physician. After he retired he continued to serve his community, "His patients loved his compassionate care," reminisces Dr. D'Souza, "and he was undoubtedly my inspiration to practice medicine."

Dr. D'Souza helps her patients think beyond merely treating their surface symptoms. She empowers every patient with prevention education, personalized treatments, knowledge, and tools to enhance their entire life quality.

Jacqueline D'Souza can speak to many of the common chronic health conditions facing our society, including allergies, high blood pressure, diabetes, and so much more. She believes people shouldn't be defined by their disease, and when given the right tools, they can continue to enjoy the life they love. For example, one of Dr. D'Souza's recent patients needed assistance walking, going to the bathroom, and living daily life. With her help, he now has made a full recovery and has even learned how to cook.

She wants to bring this same caring, empowering approach to disease prevention and treatment to the patients she cares for at Hudson Physicians. "I fell in love with Hudson and the St. Croix Valley years ago," says Dr. D'Souza. "I always felt welcomed by the locals and struck by the natural beauty and tranquility of the area. I look forward to working and playing in Hudson."

When she's not helping her patients with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of their short-term or long-term health concerns, Dr. D'Souza enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and exploring the culinary world. "I'm an international foodie," she says. "Some of my favorite foods include Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, Lebanese, and Ethiopian cuisine."
