As a local business, the staff at Hudson Physicians provides to the community and gives back.
Food Drive Challenge
Staff began collecting non-perishable food items in December. Team weigh-ins occurred at noon each day to add to the total. The event became a good way for staff to socialize and compete with fellow co-workers.
Teams for the Food Drive Challenge
Staff were divided up into nine teams. Each member of the team brought in various items and watched in anticipation while their items were weighed.
Each team was in charge of its own motivation and ways of encouraging its members to donate to the drive. They also stored and organized the food items, making sure to have it weighed daily to see who was in the lead.
Winners of the Food Drive Challenge
After three days, the nine teams had brought in 839 pounds of food to donate.
When we planned this event, we hoped for success but this exceeded expectations with their generosity.
Of the nine teams our Laboratory & Triage team won with almost 20% of the entire amount.
We want to thank all of the employees who brought in food to be donated. We all know that the true winners of this challenge are the families who receive these donations, and we hope this helps to make their lives a little easier and brighter.
As Hudson Physicians looks forward to another year of giving they intend to continue helping the communities they serve. Every Friday, employees can donate a dollar to wear jeans which is then donated to the employees’ selected charities.
In 2019 Hudson Physicians donated $250 from this fund to each of the following organizations: St. Jude’s, Free Clinic of Pierce & St. Croix Counties, Hudson Area Backpack Program and Halo’s of St. Croix Valley.
