Hudson Physicians Makes Donation to BRIDGE for Youth
Hudson Physicians was pleased to make a donation of $250 to support the BRIDGE for Youth program’s Bowlarama fundraiser. Hudson Physicians’ donation will fund existing programs and the development of future programs at Bridge For Youth.
“Bridge For Youth is making a real difference in local families’ lives. We are proud to support this important organization that does so much good work,” said Dr. Kari Campbell.
Founded in 2004, Bridge For Youth was initially founded to help ease the transition into adulthood for children with disabilities. Now, the organization serves both children and adult with disabilities. Bridge For Youth offers a number of programs that further their mission of promoting “lifelong learning, leisure, and work opportunities.”
The day program at Bridge For Youth includes outings, classroom activities, and physical activities. A key component of the day program is giving program participants the opportunity to make meaningful choices throughout the day. Adult participants can also take advantage of evening and weekend gatherings that teach independent life skills.
Bridge For Youth also offers a number of social and recreational opportunities, including an adapted floor hockey league, dances, and social nights for movies, crafts, and other activities.
The organization also has a professional team that works to place people in jobs. Bridge For Youth’s Community Employment Services provides assistance in finding work, as well as supports that may be necessary to help individuals succeed in the workplace.
Our community is fortunate to have an organization like Bridge For Youth, and Hudson Physicians is proud to support their mission.
