Exceptional Primary Care Community Faculty Teaching Award was given to Hudson Physicians Gregory Young, MD
Gregory Young, MD, of Hudson Physicians was selected by the Medical School Education Committee at the University of Minnesota to receive an Exceptional Primary Care Community Faculty Teaching Award. This award was established to honor and encourage preceptor teaching in a primary care setting, which medical students hold in high esteem.
The Medical School and the Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) recognizes members of their Medical School community for their outstanding work by nominating a faculty member, peer, student or mentor for Medical School awards and scholarships.
As a recipient of this award, Dr. Young received a gift and invitation to attend the Dean’s Tribute to Excellence in Education event held at the Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota campus.
Dr. Young said, “I am honored to receive this award. At the end of the day, my happiness comes from having a healing presence in the lives of my patients and their families. I try to impart this passion to the medical students I have the chance to work with, as well.”
As an independent provider, Dr. Young is able to maximize how efficiently his patients are served in his community. His medical interests include caring for expectant mothers, young families, and sports-related injuries.
