Hudson Physicians Donates to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Wisconsin
In keeping with our reputation as an active member of our community, Hudson Physicians is proud to share our support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Wisconsin. We recently donated $500 to this excellent organization to help them continue the important work that they do for local children facing adversity.
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides young people experiencing difficult circumstances with dedicated volunteer mentors who provide them with the encouragement and enrichment that they need to put their lives on a positive track and on the path to leading successful, productive, and fulfilling lives. On a national scale, the organization has been making an impact in the lives of children for almost 100 years!
Here in our community, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Wisconsin offers one-on-one time with mentors for one hour per week. These meetings usually include a fun activity with time for meaningful conversation. They also offer a “Mentors in Motion” program which promotes exercise and fun, healthy activities for children to do with their mentors. The aim of this program is to provide participating children with at least three hours per month of physical activity with their mentors.
Supporting this organization is not just an investment in the lives of the children they serve – it’s an investment in the future of our community. By helping at-risk children and teens grow into happy and healthy adults, we are improving our community for decades to come.
