1. Melanie Berg, DPM
Dr. Berg is a skilled Podiatrist who focuses on medical conditions related to the feet and lower legs. From pain to swelling, skin irritation to tingling, Melanie has been treating patients’ lower extremities since 2002. Proper diagnosis and treatment of the feet are essential to maintaining an active lifestyle, and as a hiker, fisher, and camper, Melanie knows how important it is to move with ease. Dr. Berg is thrilled to be joining the practice in her hometown, and help her friends and neighbors stay well. “Everyone needs healthy feet to keep them going,” Melanie says, “and I take pride in knowing that I can help people stay on their feet.”
2. Taylor Mueller, NP
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Taylor serves all ages and also specializes in Family Medicine, women’s health, mental health, and preventative care. Hudson Physicians’ family-focused and patient-centered culture made Taylor’s decision to join the practice an easy one. She focuses on forging relationships with patients and working with them to achieve their goals holistically. She enjoys yoga, running, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family – all significant components of a healthy lifestyle. “I encourage patients to be the healthiest version of themselves,” Taylor says, “physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
3. Kara Gratton, PA-C
A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kara chose Hudson Physicians because of “their core values and mission, and because they deliver the very best care to the local community.” Kara is particularly drawn to the sports community and was an avid soccer player in her youth. In fact, after suffering a significant injury and getting back onto the field with the help of sports medicine experts, Kara decided to make sports medicine her career path. When she’s not working or cheering on the local sports teams, you can finder her hiking, running, and riding around town.
4. Ryan McFarland, MD
As a Family Medicine physician who practices obstetrics, Dr. McFarland enjoys the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with his patients, from pregnancy to parenthood. A compassionate and time-sensitive provider, he understands his patients want quality and efficient care. “Building relationships allows me to see the unique aspects of patients’ life, and to determine the best treatment options.” Ryan is excited to explore the St. Croix Valley area by hiking, biking, and hunting alongside his neighbors.
5. Sarah McFarland, MD
Dr. McFarland — yes, another one — starts at Hudson Physicians the same day as her husband Ryan, and she is also a Family Medicine provider. “One of the most rewarding aspects of Family Medicine is that I get to care for mom, baby and the entire family,” she says. Sarah specializes in joint, muscle and ligament injuries; balance techniques and incremental changes are part of her recovery recipe to get people back on track. A native of rural southwest Minnesota, Dr. McFarland is happy to see all the opportunities for biking, climbing and camping in the area.
