A community clinic, built for the community.
Three years ago, Hudson Physicians opened the doors to the New Richmond Medical Center with one goal in mind: to bring exceptional, local health care to the people of western Wisconsin.
As we mark this important anniversary in February 2026, we’re not just reflecting, we’re celebrating the momentum, the milestones, and the people who helped make it all possible.
A Look Back at How It All Began
It started with a groundbreaking ceremony in May 2022.
Standing side by side, city leaders and Hudson Physicians providers, including Dr. Steve Harrold, Dr. Joe Dietzler, Dr. Angela Brandes, and others shared a vision for a space that would reflect the Hudson Physicians motto: “A better way to be treated.”
Less than a year later, the community walked through the doors for the first time during the February 2, 2023 open house.
Hundreds of residents toured the new 20,000-square-foot facility, complete with an outpatient clinic, imaging center, and urgent care. Just four days later, the clinic officially opened for patient care.

The People Who Make It Possible
From day one, the New Richmond team has led with purpose. Dr. Stephen Harrold, our medical director, has been at the heart of it all, and focused on keeping care patient-centered, local, and welcoming.
Whether you’re stopping in for a same-day visit, Urgent Care, or establishing long-term care, these are the faces you’ll find here:
- Dr. Angela Brandes – Family Medicine, Women’s Health, and Geriatric Care
- Dr. Joe Dietzler – Family Medicine and Sports Medicine
- Dr. Stephen Harrold – Medical Director and Family Medicine
- Dr. Allie Nyquist – Podiatry
- Dr. Lincoln Likness – President and Sports Medicine
- Stephanie Reneau, NP – Family Nurse Practitioner
- Marge Belisle, NP – Family Nurse Practitioner
- Sara Harris – MPH, CDCES, RD
Care That’s Comprehensive and Close to Home
Today, New Richmond Medical Center provides more than just primary care. Patients can access:
- Diabetes education and support
- Sports medicine and podiatry
- Women’s health, orthopedics, and rheumatology
- Imaging services including X-rays, ultrasound, and mammograms
Plus, we proudly partner with Associated Eye Care and Twin Cities Orthopedics, which offer vision services, physical therapy, MRI, and even outpatient surgery—all within the same building.

A Photo That Says It All
As we celebrate this 3-year anniversary, we’re also reflecting on the retirement of New Richmond’s longtime mayor, Jim Zajkowski, who stood alongside our team at the groundbreaking ceremony.
A favorite moment?

Looking Ahead: The Future of Local Health Care
From the beginning, this clinic has never been about competition—it’s been about connection. And over the past three years, it’s been clear: when you build a clinic that meets people where they are, they’ll show up.
In the years ahead, we’ll continue investing in:
- Technology upgrades like online scheduling and telemedicine
- Expanded specialty services to reduce the need to travel
- New providers and staff to meet growing demand
The New Richmond Medical Center was built to evolve. And we’re just getting started.
